It's 2019, our phones can scan our faces to unlock, electric cars exist, and Beyonce just dropped a new album. While there are many things in life that are fun or easy there is still one thing that isn't perfect. Identifying as LGBT* is no easy task, and the path to being comfortable and confident in your own skin takes time. While there have been tremendous strides in the past few decades, we are still working towards equality and understanding. theGuide.LGBT aims to provide a guided hand in coming out and finding one's true identity.
theGuide.LGBT is not the first site that curates resources and coming out stories and we won't be the last. We are not trying to compete with any other organizations or to steal the thunder, our focus is on sharing resources and stories.
